If there’s one thing I enjoy more than collaborating with talented creatives, it’s collaborating with amazing friends that also happen to be talented creatives.

Stephanie has been a dear friend for many moons and holds a special place in my heart; she was one of the people that helped introduce me to the world of fashion and beauty photography.

Caitlin is, well, a beautiful bad-ass; and a damn good friend to boot!

We’ve all been wanting to shoot a garment-centric vintage concept for a while, centered around one of Caitlin’s beautiful dresses. The God’s smiled on us; last-minute, all of our schedules happened to align. On the first day of 2017, nonetheless!

We opted to start at the Denver Art Museum. If you’re in Denver, or Colorado, and haven’t been, I strongly urge you to go. Not only is the architecture otherworldly, the collection of both classical and modern art are sublime.

Due to the design of the Museum, and heavy reliance on pockets of natural light throughout, the DAM offers an intriguing and beautiful space for creating and capturing unique imagery.

After perusing the collections and exploring the Museum, we decided to meander outside and spent some time at Civic Center Park; a Denver tourist hub with classical architectural features and stunning views of the Colorado Capitol building.

Overall, it was a spectacular way to spend an afternoon, creating art in the company of friends.

ALYSSA GOODE

UNION STATION

I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with Alyssa on several occasions. Over the course of time, there is a unique rapport that builds between photographer and model. That refined connection allows for a greater degree of creativity and fosters a level of authenticity that simply cannot be faked.

We started at a Denver landmark, Union Station. Afterward, we spent a bit of time exploring the surrounding area. The weather was damn near ideal.

The last-minute shoot was centered around a vintage concept. There has been a common theme in our work; blending classic refinement with elements of modernity.

To me, one of the best things about the shoot was that we spent the vast majority of the time laughing and goofing off. The final images are so deeply emotional, even stoic, it’s hard to believe we had so much fun in-between clicks of the shutter.

All in all, it was a fitting way to wrap up 2016. I look forward to collaborating with Alyssa in the near future; to creating and capturing more magic and beauty.

Be sure to check out Alyssa’s portfolio, for both modeling and makeup, on Facebook and Instagram.
